Storybook Ranch




Storybook Ranch was established in 1887 as a working cattle ranch. The land is known as Dry Bones and is comprised of 15 authentic buildings from the 1840s through 1860s. Located conveniently just outside Dallas, your wedding will go down in history in this unique venue. Make a grand entrance and arrive to the ceremony on an authentic horse-drawn buckboard wagon. Say “I do” in a picture-perfect storybook chapel in a unique and expressive ceremony to start a new chapter in your life. Modeled after a turn-of-the century country church, the chapel is rich in history and romantic charm. The beautifully restored 1800s church features original antique church pews, dark walnut wainscoting and ornate stained glass from the original Adolphus Hotel in Dallas. It also houses an antique pump organ and a restored antique church bell in the bell tower. After the vows, invite your guests to stay at Storybook Ranch for the entire evening. Hold your wedding reception in your very own private Western Town for an unforgettable event. Imagine a twilight cocktail hour beneath a canopy of beautifully lit trees, while later a rustic and romantic reception unfolds by the campfire under a beautifully decorated party tent. Time Restrictions

Flexible set up start time. Early morning can be arranged. Events must end by midnight.

Rental Fees

The rental fee ranges from $1,250 to $3,000 for a reception and includes 4 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The set up fee for a ceremony ranges from $750 to $1,000. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $200/hr. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required.

Wedding Cost

The average wedding cost at Storybook Ranch is estimated at between $4,500 and $13,280 for a ceremony & reception for 100 guests.
