One of California’s original mountain resort hotels, the Victorian-era Big Trees Lodge was originally established in 1856. Situated 27 miles from Yosemite Valley on Highway 41, this National Historic Landmark is near the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, home to one of the world’s largest sequoia tress, the Grizzly Giant. Accommodations consist of 50 standard hotel rooms with private bath and 54 standard hotel rooms with shared bathrooms. Seasonal amenities include a nine-hole golf course, a swimming pool and riding stables. Tie the knot on the luscious green lawn of the hotel as the sun streams through the trees and casts a romantic light on your nuptials. Guests will later enjoy sipping cocktails on the expansive veranda while congratulating you on your big day. Dinner and dancing takes place in the beautiful Sun Room, featuring six sets of French doors opening out to the veranda with breathtaking views of the meadow, forest, and golf course. The Sun Room offers stunning hardwood floors, high ceilings with crown molding and a massive stone fireplace offering the perfect ambiance for your celebration at Big Trees Lodge.

Set up time can start two hours prior to the event start time. Events must end by 9:30PM.
The rental fee is $1,650 for a reception and includes 4.5 hours of event time excluding set-up and clean-up time. Please inquire with the venue for exact food and beverage minimums that apply to all events. The fee for a ceremony is $500 plus $5 per person for chair set-up. A non-refundable security deposit equals half the rental fee and half the required food and beverage minimum purchase. There are rates available for event hours for a three-hour duration, four-hour duration, etc. Please inquire with the venue for smaller group weddings and the rates available.
