Sanford Civic Center

Sitting on the beautiful shores of Lake Monroe is the Sanford Civic Center in central Florida, just north of Orlando. Surrounded by beautiful greenery and peaceful trees with branches that sway in the breeze, it’s a lovely spot for a wedding ceremony. The civic center can accommodate small functions in the Annex or grand events in the Auditorium, which has the capacity for hundreds of guests. You are free to choose your caterer, and there are prep facilities available. An outdoor reception would be lovely and informal, hosted on the surrounding picnic tables with a quiet view of the lake setting the scene. You’re sure to catch a brilliant sunset as well. The civic center is also in close proximity to other beautiful spots by the lake, like the Monroe Harbour Marina and the Sanford Museum, which are also ideal locations for the creation of some gorgeous heirloom photographs of your special day. And for a truly magical end to what is sure to be an unforgettable evening, take a cruise around the lake in one of the old-fashioned steam boats.
