Sportsman Park offers a picturesque setting for your intimate wedding celebration. On the East side of the park, next to Key bank, is a small gazebo that hangs over the water. It has four picnic tables, making it ideal for a small picnic or barbecue reception; there is also electrical access on nearby poles and bathrooms. There is a walking bridge that goes across the river to the rocky island in the Snake River. The island is set in the heart of Idaho Falls and features the Friendship Garden along with two small decks. The Friendship Garden contains a traditional Japanese garden gate, many water features, a viewing platform, a "Dragon's Path" across a pond, and a large Japanese lantern given to the city by its Japanese sister city Tokai-Mura. The lower deck is a great location for a small, serene, and heartfelt ceremony. After the ceremony, you and your guests can enjoy a nice champagne and cake reception, or a small, seated, catered reception on the upper deck.
