Description

Offering a wide array of affordable yet impressive venues throughout the town of Kankakee, the Kankakee Park District is a must-see for couples hoping to host their big day on a budget -- without skimping on the glamour of the day! The Rec Center offers the expansive Charlton Banquet Facility on its upper floor, complete with stage and high ceilings for your elegant reception. Pioneer Park offers a spacious indoor facility for up to 120 guests, making it ideal for a medium-sized reception dinner or ceremony. Larger receptions can look to the Civic Auditorium, which offers sky high ceilings, stage, outdoor patio, and the capacity for up to 300 people. For smaller indoor occasions, look to the spacious Beckman Park Fieldhouse or the recently renovated Jeffers Park Fieldhouse. If an intimate waterfront occasion appeals, take a look at Goselin Park, which is nestled against the sparkling Kankakee River. Their facility -- which includes a full kitchen and playground -- is fantastic for more family-oriented affairs.
