The expansive grounds provide couples with beautiful backdrops for the milestone they’ve always dreamed of.

When couples host their wedding at Ships of the Sea, they will have access to the entire garden and museum grounds. The charming Scarbrough Garden is ideal for wedding ceremonies, offering a large brick terrace nuzzled between the historic museum stairway and small latticed pavilion. The intimate garden is full of lush greenery complimented by seasonal plantings. Our Assembly Room is just steps away through a brick walkway within the North Garden and available to comfortably host 250 seated guests. The North Garden itself encompasses five separate gardens that feature botanical wonders such as a maple grove, vine-covered pergola, and a belvedere. The Assembly Room comes equipped with built-in stage lighting as well as a quality sound system. Our Bridal Suite is available on site and includes a full en-suite bathroom, full legnth mirror and wardrobe rack.
