The Mount, Edith Wharton's Home Overview
Exchange vows and mingle with loved ones against the backdrop of The Mount’s colorful, award-winning formal gardens and the elegant interior of Edith Wharton’s historic mansion. Spanning nearly 50 acres, the gracious, spectacular estate is the perfect setting for an unforgettable wedding celebration. During your event, the entire estate is closed to the visiting public so your guests can explore the house and gardens. For your ceremony location, choose from the exquisite French Flower Garden, inspired by the gardens at Versailles, or the intimate Italian Garden, inspired by renaissance architecture. After your ceremony you can host cocktails throughout the mansion and on the expansive terrace overlooking The Mount’s meticulously manicured property and the mountains beyond. Your guests are invited to wander through the exhibits on the mansion’s third floor. The Mount can host up to 250 guests for dinner and dancing on the expansive tent site. The friendly and professional wedding coordinator will assist you every step of the way, starting with making a comprehensive list of regional vendors available to you. The rental fee ranges from $10,000 to $16,000 for a reception and ceremony and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The set up fee for a ceremony only wedding is $1,000. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $1,000/hr.Amenities And Requirements
