The Caswell House Overview
The Daniel H. Caswell House is a beautiful, Victorian mansion perfect for your wedding celebration. We are located in downtown Austin between UT and the 6th Street Entertainment District. We also are available for rehearsal dinners and anniversary parties. The house offers smaller rooms on the first floor with fireplaces throughout and a grand ballroom upstairs. These rooms can be personalized for your special day by displaying family photos and mementos on the mantels and other furnishings throughout the rooms! The upstairs ballroom can serve as a wedding ceremony space, a comfortable banquet hall, and an intimate dance floor. Hardwood floors, chandeliers, and three fireplaces make this expansive room seem warm and cozy. The Steinway piano adds a touch of class and an opportunity for live music. The wrap-around porches on the first and second floors offer a peaceful gathering place for you and your guests, and the second floor boasts a lovely view of the state capitol dome. As a beautiful bride deserves a beautiful setting for photographs, the well-appointed rooms of the Caswell House offer many classic vignettes for portraiture.Venue Notes
The rental fee ranges from $750 to $2,700 for ceremony and reception and includes 5 hours of event time (10 hours on Saturdays) from January - October. In November & December, when the house is decorated for the holidays, fees range from $850 to $3,000. Additional hours can be purchased at a rate of $100 - $200/hour depending upon the day of week and time of year. A refundable security deposit of $450 ($550 in November & December) is required & refunded if the house is returned clean with nothing broken.Amenities And Requirements
