Nestled next to the Mission Plaza in the heart of downtown San luis Obispo, Luna Red offers an exceptional dining experience with a lively and artistic setting for a wide range of matrimonial events. This historic building provides guests with a unique Spanish-style backdrop. Every interior is brimming with eclectic decor and local art, which is perfectly complemented by antique windows, and lush indoor plants. The interior bar & lounge area is perfect for mixing and mingling indoors. It is a cozy space, with high tables, and direct access to the bar. Ideal for a buffet of small bites and gathering with loved ones. For those who have a small and intimate dinner in mind, our inviting Garden Room is the perfect place to be. The room comfortably seats groups of 15-25. This beautiful dining nook is tucked away, with a large sliding glass door that looks onto the warmly lit patio space. For those who prefer the repose of an indoor space, but have a larger dinner in mind, we also have our main dining room available for parties of 25-40 (food and beverage minimum required). The most highly sought after dining space of Luna Red is the Spanish mission-style patio. Divided into 4 adjacent areas, each has it's own separate feel, with the ability to come together as one space for large groups (50-150). The patio boasts it's own outdoor bar, stunning views of Mission de Tolosa and San Luis Creek, as well as heaters for seating all year round. It is an unforgettable space, fit for an unforgettable evening.

Venue Notes

Typically, Luna Red hosts events that have a range from 20-100 guests. If your party has less than 20 guests, we can accommodate your party on our regular menu. If your special event would host 50 or more people, there is a chance that we may require a patio buyout. Each event space has its own food and beverage minimum, and deposit requirements.
