The Crystal Ballroom at the Rice is a 1913 historic ballroom located in the heart of downtown Houston’s Rice Hotel. Originally the capital of the Republic of Texas, this is one of Houston's most unique and historic landmarks. The Crystal Ballroom is resplendent with crystal chandeliers, heroic murals, 35-foot ceilings, Mahogany French doors and a full wraparound terrace. The 5,600 square foot event space and the adjunct 1,400 square foot parlor provide an ample space for up to 400 guests for a seated meal, with a dance floor. Sambuca, one of Houston’s most exclusive caterers, provides food and beverage service. An elegant lobby entrance will greet your guests as crystal chandeliers sparkle from above. Set up time can start 4 hours prior to event. Events must end by midnight.
There is no rental fee for the reception but there is a food and beverage minimum applied to all events. The venue allows 4 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The set up fee for a wedding ceremony is $1,200. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required.
