Ainsworth House and Gardens




Nestled on an expansive 2+ acre estate in Oregon City, the Ainsworth House & Gardens has been host to numerous events, summer and winter, since it was built in 1851. At the Ainsworth House historic architecture meets flourishing gardens to create a charming venue ideal for a romantic vintage-style wedding day. Though only one event is hosted at any time, there are three distinct settings allow you to have the big day you have always dreamed of! Most popular is the Pine Tree Garden, where you can exchange your vows beneath a 200-year-old Ponderosa Pine before enjoying cocktails and appetizers on the lawn, followed by a reception and dancing in the 3,000 square foot fully air conditioned reception facility with great window views. Alternatively, saying your “I do’s” on the steps of the Main House after being dropped off by a horse-drawn carriage is always a favorite for couples looking for that fairytale feel. And smaller groups can enjoy a wedding in the Ainsworth Grove, where you can share your first kiss as spouses beneath a wrought iron gazebo draped in lights and flowers. If the weather should not be perfect, at any time of year, the elegant Conservatory is always available as a back up, where you can have the ceremony chapel-style in the Fireside Room and then dance the night away, enjoying views of the surrounding expertly lit property out of expansive windows.

Time Restrictions

Usual event frame is 7 hours, with flexible set up start time. Earlier mornings can be arranged. The Happy Couple leave at 10pm, or earlier if they wish, with family and guests gone 30 minutes later.

Rental Fees

Depending on the season and time of week/day, the fully-serviced rental fee ranges from $2,250 to $5,400 for both ceremony and reception, and includes, among much else, 7 hours of event time for you. (Your vendors and we do all the other set up and clean up, and you don't pay for that time.) Additional hours can be arranged for a fee, starting at $300/hr, depending on the season. Most importantly we NEVER charge CORKAGE FEES or allow our Preferred Caterers to charge Minimum Catering fees or cake cutting fees. And we ALWAYS provide a wedding planner and day-of coordinator INCLUDED in the cost. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required.
