The beautifully restored and historic venue known as the Old Metropolitan Hall is a prime example of an elegant and private space for your once-in-a-lifetime event. Sitting on the bricks of one of the most visited spots in downtown Charlottesville, the Hall features two floors of sophisticated space uniquely designed for your event. For your cocktail party or reception, the ballroom and bar cellar are perfect spots to celebrate. The expansive upstairs ballroom displays aged wood floors, 14-foot ceilings, glass chandeliers, the original tin ceilings, and whitewashed walls to dress up with any wedding d├ęcor. The intimate space downstairs in the bar cellar features black and white diamond flooring, a custom-built cooper bar top, and plenty of space to get your groove on. Whatever you desire on the big day, the Old Metropolitan Hall will be a perfect backdrop for your unique event.

Time Restrictions

Set up time can start at 2:00PM. Events must end by midnight.

Rental Fees

The rental fee ranges from $1,950 to $3,950 for ceremony and reception depending on the wedding date and includes 7 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $200/hr. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required. Please inquire with wedding venue coordinator for more details.
