For a wedding venue with great entertainment value, host your special day at the historic Carver Theater. Located mere blocks from the famous French Quarter, Carver Theater was named for famed scientist George Washington Carver. The theater is registered on the National Register of Historic Places and is recognized as being exceptionally significant in the development of theaters for African Americans in New Orleans. Recently renovated to include state-of-the-art amenities, Carver Theater is a great location to host private events. The large auditorium space is perfect for hosting your reception. The theater also features a second floor VIP lounge and balcony that is a great setting for smaller events or cocktail hour. In addition to providing ample space and amenities comparable to conference center ballrooms, Carver Theater also offers one-of-a-kind photo opportunities. The marquee on the exterior of the building has been lovingly restored to its 1950’s appearance and is a fantastic backdrop for memorable wedding photos. Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $2,500 to $5,000 for a reception and includes 4 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Bar staff are included in the rental fee.
