Description

Since 1851, Scottish Rite has been a force in the Nebraska Masonic World. It has served as one of the Cornerstones of Freemasonry in Nebraska. The Omaha Valley building is the magnificent quarters of the Scottish Rite. Boasting four floors, this neo-classical building, built in 1914 by reknown architect John Latenser is the pillar of Masonry in downtown Omaha. The entrance is flanked by two circular pillars that stand three floors tall, at the top step of the stone stairs that lead to the grand two-door entrance to the building. Enter to find a ballroom, lounge, and overflow room along with a serving kitchen with 10,000 square feet, accommodating more than 300 guests comfortably for an enjoyable evening of delicious cuisine and dancing. Renovations in 2002 brought in modern conveniences including dimmable lighting for your most dramatic moments, audio and video capabilities, and a beautiful polished hardwood floor to make your wedding a touch more fancy. The lounge is a peaceful setting with a large bar, fireplace, and plenty of comfy seats. It is decorated with a crystal chandelier, fireplace, and gold accents against the dark wooden furniture, making it a classy place to catch your breath after dancing, enjoy a drink peacefully, or relax with your loved ones in an intimate space.
