Ijams Nature Center Overview
Celebrate your special day at Ijams Nature Center where lush green foliage and subtle sounds of nature will provide an intimate, enchanting backdrop for your ceremony. Centrally located five minutes from downtown Knoxville, this 300+ acre wildlife sanctuary and green space is one of Knoxville’s greatest treasures. Choose to have your wedding or event at the historic home site, and enjoy the floor to ceiling views of forests, flowers and sky. The beautifully rustic arbors provide a natural framework for the bride and groom and may be decorated to suit your particular style. Wedding ceremonies are conducted at the Ijams Home Site where the legacy of the Ijams Family started in 1910. This is the only section of the property specifically designated for wedding day events. Enjoy use of the meadow, covered pavilion, tent pad and terraced gardens for the perfect setting to complement this joyous occasion. The rental fees start at $4,000 for a 4 hour package up to $5,500 for a ceremony and reception and includes 6 hours of event time excluding set up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $500/hr. A $500 refundable security deposit is required. Please note, rental fees include usage of all 6 spaces in venue. - $250 permit fee required for serving alcohol- Alcohol must be served by licensed bartender/caterer- Amplified music OK indoors and outdoors- Approved outside caterer allowed- BYO alcohol- Beer and wine only- Music must end by 10:00PM- No rice, birdseed, confetti, etc.- Smoking outside only- Venue must approve all decorations- Wheelchair access limited
