Columbia City Theater Overview

The Columbia City Theater boasts one of the most beautiful settings for live music and performance in Seattle and its unique beauty will make it a fabulous venue for a very personalized wedding. The Columbia City Theater was built in 1917 and is the oldest vaudeville theater in the state of Washington. Having played a major role in the Seattle Jazz boom in the 40's, the theater played host to the likes of Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and Fats Waller. With its rich history, the theater is perfect for Gatsby themed wedding with elaborate decorations and over-the-top aesthetics. Or go for simpler vibes and play up the inherent loveliness of this space. The Columbia City Theater's classic brick, wood, and red velvet create a beautiful and warm backdrop for any party. You can rent out the theater space alone, or choose to rent the theater as well as The Bourbon and have the entire building for the exclusive use of you and your guests. Two full bars, an amazing sound system, and all the character of a nearly 100 year old theater makes the Columbia City Theater one of the most unique and well set up spaces to throw the party you want to throw. Capacity for a fully tabled event is 80. Capacity for rowed seating is 135. Capacity for standing room is 300.

Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $2000 to $3000 for a ceremony and reception and includes all day rental beginning at 2 pm. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $50/hr. Some discounts may apply for weekday weddings inquire with venue for details. Bar packages are extremely flexible inquire with venue for package details and options. Please note, all events must be 21+.
