City Tavern Club Overview

Nestled in the heart of Georgetown and steeped in history, the City Tavern Club provides a unique and elegant venue for your wedding day. Offering different spaces around the property, this space embodies history and tradition. The Great Hall is DC area's hidden jewel. One of Georgetown's most sophisticated and elegant spaces, it can seat a large amount of guests for a decadent dinner. This space is also perfect for a cocktail reception that your guests will never forget. The chandeliers, hardwood floors and district decor are the perfect setting for a perfect event. The Long room is where John Adams made his famous toast. With an incredible view of "M" Street and overlooking the heart of Georgetown, The Long Room is a magnificent setting for an intimate reception. With it's adjoining private patio, the Bliss Room is one of the Club's most sought after event spaces. Ideally suited surrounded by open windows, this room is light and airy. Whichever location you choose at City Tavern Club, you and your guests will be accommodated in splendor and history for your wedding celebration.

Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $700 to $7,800 for a ceremony and reception and includes 4 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged, please inquire with venue for more details. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required. Please inquire with venue for discounts applied to alumni, Tavern members and non-profit members. Please note, additional fees will be charged for Sunday and Monday events. There is a $850 cleaning fee charged for full club rentals and a food and beverage minimum.

- $850 cleaning fee for full club rentals only- Alcohol must be provided by venue- All food and beverage handled by venue- Amplified music OK indoors only- Catering provided by venue- Food & beverage minimum- General liability insurance required- Music must end by 2:00AM- No rice, birdseed, confetti, etc.- Smoking outside only- Venue must approve all decorations- Wedding coordinator required
