Description

The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens has become one of South Florida’s premier rental facilities for weddings or special events and offers various packages that can accommodate both small and large parties. Romantic sites throughout the peaceful gardens are ideal for a small daytime ceremony of up to 35 guests. These wedding ceremonies can take place between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. while the museum is open to the public. Private gatherings for up to 150 guests are held beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, or from 9:00 a.m. on Mondays when the museum is closed to the public. A ceremony may be held lakeside, followed by a cocktail reception and dinner on our terraces overlooking the Japanese bridges, lake, waterfall, and gardens. We also have space for an interior reception in our beautiful Japanese ash wood-lined foyer. The Cornell Cafe is our exclusive on-site restaurant and catering partner for all private events and offers the ability to create a customized menu that will reflect your personal style and vision for the event. Time Restrictions

Daytime ceremonies may be held between 10:30am-3:30pm. Private evening events begin at 6:30pm and end by midnight.

Rental Fees

The rental fee ranges from $3,000 to $4,500 for a ceremony and reception and includes 5.5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $500/hr. A refundable security deposit of $1,000 is required. Please inquire with venue for details and pricing for a ceremony only wedding. There is a guest count minimum of 50 guest applied to all events.
