Located in the heart of Syracuse, New York, The Oncenter offers couples a banquet hall-style venue to host their wedding or other special occasions. This venue is a three-city-block facility, comprised of an upscale convention center, historic War Memorial Arena, and three unique Civic Center theaters. Each facility contains unique event spaces where wedding dreams can become realities. Facilities and Capacity The Oncenter is capable of hosting weddings of all sizes. Guests have easy access to the facilities via an enclosed walkway that connects the venue to a 1,000-car parking garage, complete with wheelchair access. The convention center boasts a multipurpose exhibit hall, atrium, foyer areas, and ballroom. The War Memorial Arena is the home of the Syracuse Crunch hockey team and can be tailored to fit a variety of needs. The Civic Center contains spacious lobby areas for receptions, and also contains two theaters and the BeVard Studio. These dynamic spaces at The Oncenter may be used for wedding ceremonies, receptions, bridal showers, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners. Compliments of The Oncenter This multifaceted venue can supply couples with their own dedicated on-site Wedding Manager to assist in organizing their big day. In addition to event setup and cleanup services, The Oncenter also provides in-house catering bar services, as well as the following event rentals: -Chiavari Chairs -Dance floor rentals -Tables -Linen & Napkins (available in various colors) -Staging -Personal Tasting Menu -Personalized Service from our Experienced Catering Team -Changing Suites with Complimentary Champagne Toast -Various decorative items -Drapery -Lighting Catering Couples will have their event catered by The Oncenter, which can serve buffet, family-style, plated, or stationed menus. Chef Gerald 'Jerry' Bolton has been the Executive Chef at The Oncenter for more than 22 years and offers his skills to provide couples with impressively curated menus. Together with Chef Bolton and the venue’s catering managers, couples customize the menu served at their special event. The Oncenter allows outside wedding cake catering, though the in-house team is also capable of designing impressive alternatives to the traditional wedding cake. Comprehensive bar services are provided in either open or cash bar formats.
