La Villita Historic Arts Village along the banks of the San Antonio River offers a combination of art galleries, distinctive shops and fine dining experiences in a historically significant setting. This “little town” was one of San Antonio’s first neighborhoods in the 18th century and was restored in the 1930s. This location is an ideal area for your special wedding celebration. Your guests will enjoy its shaded plazas and walkways as they discover this little treasure in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The Cos House was built before 1835. It is the site of General Perfecto Cos’s signing of the Articles of Capitulation, across Villita Street from the Little Church of La Villita. It is often used for small wedding receptions. The Cos House has two indoor rooms and a small food preparation area, with private, newly renovated restrooms. A covered porch leads into a large tree-shaded courtyard surrounded by a private fence covered with WPA-era artwork. This quaint, lush area will make your wedding feel like a dream land as you celebration with family and friends at Cos House at La Villita.
