Mountain Home Inn




This destination, built by a Swiss-German couple homesick for the Alps in 1912, gives an experience unlike any other. The bed and breakfast is situated atop the ridgeline at Mt. Tamalpais just near the entrance to Muir Woods. The serene ambiance is characterized by a forest of towering redwoods, pine trees, soaring hawks and a stunning view from what feels like, the top of the world. The entrance of hardwood floors and redwood columns lead through the inn by the fireplace and large windows to the patio with memorable vistas and terraced gardens. A full-service restaurant and 10 guestrooms are also available. A portion or the entire rustic lodge-style inn is available for events as well as green wedding options.

Time Restrictions

Set up can start at 3:30PM. Exclusive use of the Inn until 11:00AM the next day for weddings. One day use events must end at 11:00PM.

Rental Fees

The rental fee ranges from $750 to $3,000 for ceremony and reception and includes exclusive use of the Inn from 3:30PM to 11:00AM the next day.
