Located in the space that was once the legendary Carolina Theatre on Franklin Street, The Great Room at Top of the Hill offers one of the only event spaces in Chapel Hill’s downtown. Artfully combining contemporary decor with historic elements from the city’s industrial past, this flexible venue offers an ideal setting for a modern wedding! This building contains a multitude of stunning spaces that can accommodate events of any size, ranging from huge bashes to more intimate affairs. The Great Room offers an ideal space for receptions, boasting studio-like features like hardwood floors, exposed brick, steel beams, vaulted ceilings, and designer pendant lighting. Other areas are perfect for cocktail hours or smaller occasions, such as the unique Tank Room with towering industrial ceilings and glass views of the beer tanks, as well as the edgy Back Bar with moody lighting and exposed brick adorned in graffiti.
