Historic Murray’s Mill is a unique and charming space perfect for your wedding ceremony and reception. A ten-minute hop, skip, and a jump from I-40, the Murray’s Mill Historic District, in the rolling countryside of eastern Catawba County, nestles just as it was a century ago along the banks of Balls Creek. Imagine inviting your friends and family to a ceremony in the quaint space with a backdrop of a placid pond slipping over a mill dam, and a 28’ waterwheel making its slow way round. This pleasant space will add a sense of history and antiquatedness to your celebration. Preserved intact are the 1913 mill itself, the 1890s Murray & Minges General Store, the 1880s Wheathouse, used as an exhibit gallery, the 1913 John Murray House, furnished to the period, and numerous outbuildings. In addition to the traditional structures, the Murray’s Mill grounds are naturally picturesque and are the perfect space to invite your loved ones to for a celebration of your special day!
