Welcome to the Newell Pioneer Village, home to the Robert Newell house, a historic estate that will allow your wedding dreams to materialize. If you are couple enchanted by history and heritage, as well as natural scenery, you will find Newell Pioneer Village breathtaking. Built in 1852 by Robert and Rebecca Newell, this charming residence was one of the only structures in the Champoeg area to survive the Great Flood of 1861. Nearly a century later, the Daughters of the American Revolution refurbished the farmhouse. Walk along the brick pathway and cross through the grand front entrance, transporting yourself to a time of elegance and gracefulness. Admire the ground floor decorated in 1860’s style, and furnishings bestowed by Oregon pioneer families. As you climb the staircase to the second floor, which once housed the bedrooms of the Newell’s children, you will discover a display of artifacts including exquisite gowns worn by wives of Oregon Governors in the mid-1800s. Outdoors, say your vows in one of several locations throughout the property. Tucked away in the expansive property are other celebrated buildings, such as a one room school house and pioneer cabin. The Robert Newell house will enable you to step back in time, leaving you with rich and wonderful memories of your wedding experience.
