Wilbur D. May Center Overview
Combining the natural beauty of wildlife and the Nevada landscape, the Wilbur D. May Center and its surrounding gardens provide many options for your beautiful garden wedding ceremony and reception. The Museum's indoor Garden Court is a lush location for year-round ceremonies and receptions. The indoor garden is filled with live trees and plants, and two ponds stocked with koi fish and turtles. Outside, Honey’s Garden is just a short walk for you and your guests. You enter through a charmingly rustic, vine-draped covered bridge into the garden, which features primarily yellow and white flowering shrubs and roses and a seasonal waterfall cascading over large boulders into a beautiful reflecting pond. Two large steps leading to the front of the waterfall and reflecting pond is the perfect location for your romantic “I Dos.” The Plaza Garden, another May Center option, adjoins the May Museum and offers a colorful display of lush, flowering perennials, roses, and trees creating the perfect, intimate environment for you to tie the knot. For smaller, more intimate ceremonies, Kristen’s Garden, Evans Creek Bridge, and the Columbus Gazebo offer gorgeous vine-covered gazebos, overhanging willows, magnolia, iris, and peony blooms to create the most romantic environment to celebrate your love with your closest family and friends.Venue Notes
The rental fee for the main Garden Court is $175/hr with a required minimum of 2 hours. Additional rooms are $75/hr as an add-on only. A refundable deposit of $500 is required. Small outdoor gardens are $180 for a three-hour block. Large gardens range from $600 to $900 for a three-hour block.Amenities And Requirements

- Amplified music OK indoors only- Approved outside caterer allowed- BYO alcohol- General liability insurance required- Music must end by midnight- Music on Sunday through Thursday must end by 10:00PM- No open flames- No rice, birdseed, confetti, etc.- Nothing can be put in the ponds or trees- Smoking outside only- Venue must approve all decorations
