Appleford Estate Overview

Appleford is a historic Pennsylvania farmhouse estate wedding venue located on 24 acres in Villanova, Pennsylvania, the heart of the Philadelphia Main Line. Drive down the long pine-lined driveway to ponds to a waterfall with manicured gardens and an alee of trees in this arboretum and bird sanctuary. The estate has been used as a wedding venue creating lasting memories for more than 40 years. The interior of the house is well preserved with antiques, art, china, and décor collected by former owner Annabel Parsons and consists of a Music Room, Pine Room, Dining Room, Bridal Suite, and Groom's Lounge. It’s a manor house that can be yours for the day! The flagstone terrace directly in front of the house is tented from April-November and can accommodate 200 guests for seating. The gardens complete the Appleford experience. Wooded acres envelop the property with gardens surrounding the estate for your enjoyment. Gardens off the terrace include the walled/perennial garden and the rose garden with a small fountained pond. Behind the home have your picture taken in the boxwood maze enhanced with statuary, the Medallion garden, the alee of Chinese dogwood trees, and the green house. Large wedding ceremonies typically occur by the waterfall and weeping willow trees directly in-front of the estate. Appleford clients may select a caterer from an exclusive list of five caterers: Catering By Design, Feastivities Events, Feast Your Eyes, John Serock Catering, Perfect Setting Catering, and Sage Catering. These caterers provide the set-up and breakdown for the weddings and receptions and prepare the meals in the Appleford kitchen. If alcohol is being served, clients provide their libations and the bartenders are provided by the caterers. Twenty-six tables from Party Rental are included with the Appleford rental, along with 150 chairs provided by our exclusive caterers. Clients are welcome to select a florist, photographer, videographer and other vendors of their choice.
