At an elevation of 8,000 feet, Vega State Park’s high-mountain lake sits in a beautiful mountain meadow on the northeast edge of Grand Mesa National Forest in Western Colorado. The park includes 109 campsites in four campgrounds that surround the lake, allowing your guests to camp if they choose and have a adventurous weekend getaway. The Meadows Group Picnic Area is tranquil area to hold your outdoor ceremony and reception. This area offers lake views and is surrounding lush natural landscaping, a deer may even trot through the background of your wedding portraits! This covered area can accommodate up to 100 people and also has large barbecue grills so you can have a laid back cookout for your catering option. After the ceremony the newlyweds can sneak off for romantic wedding portraits while your guests enjoy cocktail hour while playing a friendly game of horseshoes in the large meadow. Dance the night away under the stars while enjoying a perfect Colorado summer evening at Vega State Park.

Time Restrictions

Set up time can begin at the start of the rental time. Events must end by 9:00PM.

Rental Fees

The rental fee is $60 per day plus a $10 reservation fee for a ceremony and reception and includes 12 hours of rental time including set up and clean up time.
