Georges Island, one of the Boston Harbor Islands, is a beautiful wedding destination. This historic site is home to Fort Warren, a fort used during the Civil War era. Fort Warren is known for its striking granite archways. You and your loved ones will enjoy exploring the well manicured Fort grounds. As you walk, you will find 100-year-old elm and maple tree inhabitants that loom elegantly above. Patios, a pier, and the grassy parade will keep your guests in awe of the surrounding views of the Boston Harbor Islands from the ferry ride to sunset. Imagine wedding your love beside the majestic Fort Warren and finishing the evening with a dinner in the covered ocean view space of Rita’s Catering followed by roasting marshmallows on the beach. Georges Island provides a truly romantic wedding experience, steeped in American history and grace. As you ride the ferry, wander along paths within Fort Warren, and smell summer scents of wildflowers and ocean, you will find yourself within a dream wedding environment.
