Whether you want to get married under the stars or just party among them, Chabot specializes in Celestial Ceremonies. Tucked behind the redwood trees and nestled within the 13-acres of Joaquin Miller Park, Chabot Space and Science Center is one of the most distinct venues in the Bay Area. With incredible views of the bay, a 70-foot dome theater, and exhibits, the Oakland Hills facility offers a beautiful and unique setting for both indoor and outdoor weddings large and small. Contemporary designs add to the modern feel of the space, founded as an Observatory in 1883. The educational center is home to the largest public telescope facility in the country. The Chabot event staff will help you design a ceremony & reception that will captivate you and your guests.

Time Restrictions

Event set up must begin after the museum is closed to the public at 5:00PM. Reservations include 7 hours with the exception of theaters. Additional hours may be added.

Rental Fees

The rental fee ranges from $2,700 to $14,000 for up to 7 hours of usage of the facilities including set up and clean up time. A refundable security deposit of $1,000 is required.
