Azucar Lounge Overview

Azucar Lounge is a quaint corner cantina in San Francisco’s SOMA district, dedicated to delivering tasty Mexican street food and handcrafted cocktails at a low cost in a relaxing setting. It has a welcoming charm and tender spirit that is inviting and feels a bit like home. Couches and lounge furniture line the warm terracotta toned walls of Azucar. Dainty papel picado banners and other colorful paper crafts are strung up for display throughout the space. One large, fully-stocked wooden bar anchors the lounge and is balanced out by a smaller agave-focused corner bar across the space. The menu is an absolute treat, featuring familiar botanas, like guacamole with house made tortilla chips, fresh ceviche, and warm queso blanco, seven kinds of tacos, burritos, soups and salads, and several styles of bacon-wrapped hot dogs. Additionally, there are classic Mexican desserts, including cinnamon churros and flan, and special Latin inspired libations and aguas frescas.
