Hops & Hominy Overview

Shrimp and grits, fried chicken and cornbread have traveled far, but found a place at Hops & Hominy, San Francisco’s home for southern comfort food and hospitality. Three friends from Florida with deep southern roots opened the restaurant with an aim to serve sustainable organic foods and locally brewed and crafted wine, beer, and spirits. Hidden away, just steps from Union Square, the interior is tall and narrow like the alleyway it resides in, but warmly lit and inviting. The space features high ceilings, exposed brick accent walls, and reclaimed wood floors and tables. Hops & Hominy has several options to accommodate private events. The bar area is available for casual, mainly standing events for up to 35 guests, or for 24 or fewer guests, opt for the outdoor patio for ample seating. Larger parties of up to 45 seated guest may also consider booking the Burrow, a new private addition to the restaurant that may be paired with the outdoor patio space for added space.
