Tucked away in the lush Pocomoke Forest, Furnace Town offers a truly one-of-a-kind backdrop for your big day. This venue combines stunning natural surroundings, a timelessly elegant nineteenth-century backdrop, and all the privacy that your wedding day deserves. Once a company town built by the Maryland Iron Company, today Furnace Town offers elegant settings for ceremonies and receptions that are both affordable and intimate. While the gorgeous Old Nazareth Church easily seats 100 people, weddings can also take place on the verdant lawn located at the base of the old furnace. Another ideal location for saying your “I do’s” is at the base of the charging ramp, where wooden walkways serve as aisles. Several picturesque outdoor areas are available for erecting airy tents, tables, chairs, and a serving area for the caterer of your choice -- allowing you to dance the night away surrounded by towering trees and lush lawns. One favorite location for celebrating is the rustic covered pavilion, which seats up to 300 people.
