The Museum of Ventura County is set along sandy beaches, art galleries and fine dining in the historic beach town of Ventura. The museum’s mission is to celebrate the art and culture of Ventura County, and the indoor/outdoor venue proves the perfect setting for a uniquely California wedding. Say “I do” beneath large palm trees and a gorgeous mosaic mural in the outdoor Museum Plaza. Arrange for a classic white event tent to house an evening of dinner and dancing, or opt for a reception inside in the newly constructed Smith Pavilion. The Pavilion’s stonewalls and hanging chandeliers create a rustic and elegant backdrop which you can build upon to suit your own vision. With catering from Main Course California and all the state of the art equipment to energize your party throughout the evening, your guests will be reminiscing about your wedding at the Museum of Ventura County long after the big day.

Time Restrictions

Set up time can start at 4:00PM. Earliest set up time can start at 10:00AM for an additional fee. Events must end by 10:00PM for Sunday through Thursday and midnight for Friday and Saturday weddings.

Rental Fees

The rental fee ranges from $750 to $3,500 for a reception and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The set up fee for a wedding ceremony is $500 and includes an extra hour of event time. Wedding consultation, floor plan and rental planning is provided with the venue rental fee. An outside caterer is allowed for a fee of $5 per guest if approved by the venue. Extra security is required for any wedding bookings. Museum members will receive tables and chairs for the ceremony and reception with the rental fee for up to 100 guests. A refundable security deposit of $500 or 50% of the space rental fee, whichever is more, is required. Additional hours can be arranged for $500/hr. A 10% production charge will be applied to the final invoice.
