Overview

The gallery and venue at Machines with Magnets is a unique and comfortable multipurpose space that can accommodate many different types of events including wedding ceremonies and receptions, showers, brand activations, birthday and other special occasion parties, team meetings, holiday and corporate parties, conference kick-off events, fundraisers, and more. Our minimal, midcentury modern-inspired design features a mix of custom and vintage furniture and adds character to any event. As of fall 2019, the event space now boasts freshly refinished hardwood floors, a private and completely refurbished back patio area with comfortable seating and tables, and even more midcentury Scandinavian design elements both indoors and out. ‍ Our 2,000 square foot space is divided into two rooms: the venue, which features a staffed bar with cocktails, wine, and beer; a professional PA that can accommodate live music and DJ setups; HDMI projector with large projection area; lighted dance floor; stage area, and high quality two-and three-dimensional permanent artworks. The second room is a flexible exhibition space that hosts rotating gallery shows, and can be used as a green room, lounge, or for dinner, dancing, breakout sessions, auctions, exhibits, and much more. Venue Notes

Wedding rentals start at a $1,200 base price, which includes both venue and gallery spaces (2,000 square feet total) as well as an enclosed and private outdoor patio area for an eight-hour period including setup. The room fee includes one bartender and a day-of coordinator who will assist you with planning your special day, and act as a liaison with rental deliveries and catering. We provide additional bartenders, one sound technician for live music, and floor staff at an additional cost of $20 per hour, per person for the duration of the event. The space features a two-bedroom apartment, directly adjacent to the venue, that's available for use as a dressing room and/or staging area. The apartment can be rented the day of the event for an additional fee of $150 (please note that it is not intended for overnight stays).
