Big Chill is a one-of-a-kind wedding and event venue in Charlotte, NC, where vintage soul meets modern celebration. Originally built as the city’s first roller skating rink, and then Charlotte’s first and largest live entertainment & dining club, the space has been thoughtfully reimagined into an unforgettable setting for couples who want their wedding to feel elevated, personal, and fun. The venue features original hardwood floors (from the skating rink days), a built-in stage and dance floor, a fireside lounge & bar, and multiple spaces that flow seamlessly from ceremony to cocktail hour to a packed dance floor. We are ideal for couples who care just as much about the guest experience as the design details. We offer full bar service with professionally staffed bartenders and thoughtfully curated bar packages, along with in-house lighting, décor enhancements, and coordination support. Couples have the flexibility to choose their own vendors. Couples can select a caterer from our approved partners or bring in their own, allowing menus and vendor teams to reflect personal style, culture, and priorities. Whether you’re planning a romantic wedding, a bold reception, or something entirely your own, we offer a flexible, design-forward space with character you simply won’t find in a traditional ballroom.Venue Notes
The rental fee ranges from $5,500 to $7,500 depending on the day.
