Originally built as a sugar mill in the 1820s, Generations Hall strives to carry on the tradition of hosting elegant New Orleans style weddings! Decorated with artwork depicting the history of New Orleans jazz by prominent area artists, this unique venue offers a glimpse into a bygone era. Generations Hall has three spacious rooms which can be rented either separately or as a whole, allowing couples to accommodate any group, large or small. The Metropolitan One Room is the venue’s flagship banquet hall and the most popular venue for weddings with its sprawling balcony, vaulted ceilings, expansive dance floor, and versatile floor plan. The Metropolitan 2 room falls between both spaces, crafted in the French Quarter warehouse style that definitely stands out from the rest for this open floor plan, high ceilings, balcony, and more. The Big Room, which has hosted historically significant artists ranging from The Blue Man Group to Ray Charles, offers sky high vaulted ceilings, three bars, and an expansive stage that can accommodate a live band. Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $4,500 to $11,000 for a reception and includes 3 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The set up fee for a ceremony is $1,300. Please inquire directly with the venue regarding hosting an event with a larger guest count. The guest count capacity of the venue can go up to 2,500 guests with the entire venue and courtyard or 4,500 guests with the entire facility, courtyard, and street closure.
