Built in the 1860s, this quaint house was once the home of Reverend George Washington Baines, the great grandfather of former President of the United States Lyndon Baines Johnson, and is now both recorded as a Texas Historical Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s located in Salado, Texas and features Greek Revival and Texas dogtrot style architecture with a salt box roof. Featuring a charming façade and a beautifully landscaped yard, the Baines House Inn boasts an abundance of picturesque spots that can serve as a scenic backdrop for your ceremony, reception, or wedding photographs. The historic inn can sleep up to 25 guests in its eight deluxe overnight accommodations and cottages; it’s a wonderful place to spend the entire weekend with loved ones celebrating your special day!
