Situated in the midst of Lexington’s historic antebellum Gratz Park, the Hunt-Morgan House is the perfect place to start your own family history. Built in 1814, the Hunt-Morgan House, stands as a reminder of early 19th century life. The Hunt-Morgan House and grounds are available for rental and includes early-19th century interior and furnishings, an intimate garden, historic grounds, and a private parking lot. The Federal style house has many beautiful architectural features, including the Palladian window with fan and sidelights that grace its front façade. When you host your wedding day at the Hunt-Morgan house, you and your guests will have access to the Parlor, Dining Room, Dr. Thomas Hunt Morgan Room, and the Foyer. The house also has a catering kitchen, updated restroom facilities, an accessibility entrance, as well as a bridal dressing room. The Hunt-Morgan House can accommodate both ceremony and reception. Or you may opt to use it as a ceremony only or reception only venue. The rentals manager would be happy to assist you with finalizing the details of your special day.

Time Restrictions

Flexible set up start time. Early morning and 1 day prior can be arranged. Events must end by midnight.

Rental Fees

The rental fee is $1,500 for a ceremony and reception and includes 6 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The fee for a ceremony only wedding is $1,500. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $150/hr. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required.
