4 Things to Keep in Mind for the Picture-Perfect Private Estate Wedding
Private estate wedding venues have been increasing in popularity over the years for a reason. They offer privacy, exclusivity, and luxury to couples and guests alike. What’s not the love? However, these beautiful venues often require a little more effort to utilize than your standard all-inclusive ballroom or city loft. Find out what you need to know to throw the picture-perfect private estate wedding.
Consider the Restroom Situation
Often a private estate won’t have adequate restrooms for large crowds. Many couples hosting their weddings at these exclusive venues must provide their own restrooms through special services. While these certainly don’t need to be as rustic as a porta-pot, the higher end options will be something to consider in your budget.
You Might Need Permits
Depending on where you’re hosting your big day, you may need to obtain some permits in order to celebrate there. For example, some communities will restrict the number of people that can park in the area or how loud the band can be. Be sure to understand the rules of the estate before you begin making plans.
Have a Rainy Day Backup
Plan on saying your “I do’s” outside of the beautiful home in a flourishing, well tended garden or a beach along the coast? Make sure you rent a tent or backup indoor location on the estate in case rain strikes.
A Wedding Planner Might Be Needed
Private estate weddings often require more logistical planning than your average big day. This is especially true for estates that aren’t accustomed to being used as venues. Not only do you have to keep track of all of the standard rentals -- chairs, flatware, linens, band/dj, etc. -- but you’ll also have to handle more base concerns like electricity, restrooms, capacity, and more. Having a wedding planner to help you coordinate all of these details can make your life easier.
