Caroline and Brad married on Memorial Day Weekend 2017! This weekend was not only special because they dedicated their lives to one another, but also because it was the two-year anniversary of the day that they met.
Caroline’s good friend, Becca, introduced the couple at a Coast Guard wedding in Nashville, Tennessee in 2015. Brad needed a date and Becca knew the perfect person- her college friend, Caroline, whom she had been dying to see!
They danced the night away and quickly learned that it was not the end of their time together. Their relationship bloomed and a short time later Brad asked Caroline to marry him on his boat, Off Duty, at the end of boating season!
Caroline and Brad chose their home parish for their ceremony at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Parma, Ohio. Its classic Roman Catholic architecture and imagery was the perfect backdrop for their traditional ceremony.
Caroline’s favorite moment is one that all brides will cherish for the rest of their lives. Walking down the aisle with her father, looking into her future husband’s eyes- It’s a feeling unlike any other; one filled with love and excitement for the future.
After exchanging vows and saying “I do," Caroline and Brad hosted a night to remember at Mapleside Farms Barn. The rustic barn style of their reception perfectly complimented the structured elegance of a traditional Catholic ceremony with warmth stemming from the wood-planked walls, cathedral ceilings, and the best company anyone could ask for.
When we asked Caroline and Brad if they had any words of wisdom for newly engaged couples, they advised, “Research and have a ballpark budget for your wedding and venues before you go on site tours.” Searching for a wedding venue can sometimes be an overwhelming process, so preparation makes all the difference!
We suggest maximizing on online resources to get an understanding of what venues offer ahead of time. Wedding Spot offers the ability get a starting estimate for the venues that you love and take away some of the stress of planning your big day!
Thank you, Caroline and Brad, for sharing your wedding and advice with us!
