Peony's Envy is a flower nursery and display garden in Bernardsville, New Jersey within easy access of New York City and Philadelphia. For a wedding ceremony or reception surrounded by blooming flowers, Peony's Envy offers one of the most extensive collections of colorful peonies in the Northeast. Peony's Envy hosts a limited number of private events in the heart of the garden each year during the peony bloom. In timing your event with the bloom cycle, note that typically the peak of the tree peony bloom occurs at the beginning of May, with the herbaceous bloom peaking from the end of May into early June. The gardens are only open May 1st through June 15th for the bloom and again in the fall for bare-root peony sales. The display gardens are laid out over an 8-acre property with trails that meander throughout the peony collections. Four major types of peonies are highlighted in the garden: woodland, tree, herbaceous, and intersectional. Set up can occur day prior. Additional set up can occur before 11AM or after 5PM day of the event. Events end by 11:00PM.
The rental fee is $5,000 for a ceremony and reception and includes 6 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged. The venue is only available for wedding bookings May and June. A tent is not included with the venue and would need to be rented through an outside vendor.
